Seeking for an Answer

My life revolves around Love, especially the love of music. But we'll talk about music later. Being intellectually infatuated and influenced by what love offers and gives as the power of truth, beauty and freedom of your emotions takes my mind to another planet (run-on sentence lol). But I cant understand for the life of me why something so strong and powerful doesn't have an on and off button. Some people dwell and fantasize over certain things that intrigue them because it sparks a nerve in their body and forces them to haunt for an answer. Well that is how I feel about Love. I think that maybe If Love were to truly and wholeheartedly fly my way, if love were to launch me over its wings, maybe I wouldnt have so many questions. I can assure you that I don't doubt love, but instead I journey the science of Love and why we have no control over it! Or do we?

  1. I don't believe we do have control over love. I say that because the people we always end up loving, are always not the people we want to love. We always want to love the person that loves us, or is crazy about us.. yet we always end up loving the one, or ones who just does not have it all the way together.. or does not even understand our love for them. So many questions go unanswered... Is this person as serious as i am, or am i just another person in their life that has cared for them, like so many that has cared for me that I have ignored? Is the timing right? I believe this is one of the most difficult questions of life!

  2. I totally agree corey! Especially when you said: "Is this person as serious as i am, or am i just another person in their life that has cared for them, like so many that has cared for me that I have ignored?" You hit it on the notch, thats a question that may never be answered!

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. — I Corinthians 13:4-8a

This verse describes the characteristics of true love. These qualities can be found in Jesus Christ, and they can be found in all truly loving relationships. The problem with trying to “find” love in our dating lives, is that too often we don't look for these characteristics. We often look at the physical appearance, popularity, or wealth. These are not the qualities that God looks at and neither should we.

  4. Gemar thanks for your insight, I contemplated on putting that into this post, but I had a change of heart because just as that lies into the bible...evil lies in this world and has unfortunately been stamped upon our hearts unknowingly. Things are not the same, people are not the same, and therefore Love isnt the same. I didnt refer to the bible for many reasons, but in my opinion there is much more to love thn that. But I do agree with the whole "true love" thing. The whole physical appearance, popularity, wealth issue doesnt adhere to me, so there must be other reasons because that is not how I search.
